Comments by Mike Adams, the Health RangerWhen studying the actions of the FDA, the American Medical Association, the American Cancer Society and the behavior of doctors, medical journals and drug companies, the phrase "evil empire" quickly comes to mind. Modern medicine is a medical racket, a drug monopoly and disease treatment scam that has been foisted upon the people of western nations (America, Canada, United Kingdom, etc.) in order to maximize corporate profits.
And the FDA has become the Darth Vader of the empire, using the power of the dark side to inflict pain and destruction upon its enemies in its quest to become the dominate power center of all things related to health.
As NaturalNews readers already know quite well, modern health care has nothing to do with health or care but everything to do with profits and power. As consumers, we live under a system of medical tyranny. Consider the following true facts about modern medicine and the FDA:
1) It is currently illegal for vitamin companies to tell the tuth about the health benefits of their products. The FDA has attacked and threatened cherry growers for posting scientifically-validated information about the health benefits of cherries on their websites.
2) Treating cancer with anything other than deadly, FDA-approved chemotherapy, radiation or surgery has been outlawed, and most of the good cancer doctors have either fled the United States or operate in secret, afraid to advertise their therapies for fear of being raided at gunpoint by health authorities.
3) Drug companies now own and operate the Food and Drug Administration, U.S. lawmakers and the mainstream media. No decision is made by the FDA unless it ultimately helps drug companies either make more money or avoid public scrutiny. New laws passed by U.S. legislators actually increase the financial incest between Big Pharma and the FDA.
4) Big Pharma operates a system of routine bribery of doctors and FDA decision panel "experts" who vote on the approval of new drugs. Conflicts of interest run so deep in the FDA that the very idea of even disclosing such conflicts has been strenuously argued against by FDA bureaucrats.
5) State medical licensing boards run secret investigations to frame and "catch" doctors prescribing vitamins or alternative therapies. Those doctors are then targeted for prosecution or revocation of their medical licenses.
6) The FDA, drug companies and mainstream media routinely invent scare stories about vitamins and nutritional supplements, then publicize them in order to scare consumers away from nutritional therapies (and herd them into profitable drug treatments).
7) The FDA currently "negotiates" with drug companies over drug safety warning labels, refusing to do its job of protecting the public from dangerous or deadly drugs. Case in point: an FDA advisory panel actually voted to put Vioxx back on the market after it killed more than 50,000 Americans and its own manufacturer voluntarily recalled the drug.
8) The FDA is currently trying to regulate alternative medicine out of existence through its new "CAM Guidelines" (click here to see our report on this issue). These guidelines could classify vegetable juice as a "drug" and require FDA approval before the juice could be sold. The purpose of the CAM Guidelines is to oppress naturopathic practices and products, limiting consumers' health care choices to drugs and surgery.
9) The FDA, in cooperation with the FTC, has viciously attacked Lane Labs, a company that manufactured and marketed genuine anti-cancer supplements. Lane Labs has been "targeted for termination" by the authorities in order to prevent it from successfully marketing a product that really does cure cancer. (Conventional medicine depends on lucrative cancer screenings and treatments to boost revenues. Natural cures for cancer are not tolerated.)
10) The FDA has conducted multiple armed raids on vitamin shops and natural health clinics in order to crush alternative medicine and deny the public access to nutritional supplements.
11) The FDA has used disinformation and half-truths to ban ephedra and attack kava kava, among other medicinal herbs. The agency routinely invents or exaggerates selected piece of information to justify any action it desires to take against natural medicine.
12) Thanks to lax FDA drug safety standards, U.S. citizens are now routinely treated as guinea pigs by drug companies, and the real dangers of new drugs are only realized after they harm or kill tens of thousands of patients. The FDA remains consistently slow to pull dangerous drugs off the market.

In all, the FDA is very much like Darth Vader: powerful, corrupt, evil-minded and willing to destroy anything in its quest for ultimate power over consumers. In Star Wars, Darth Vader promised to "bring order to the universe" through oppression, intimidation and control. The FDA appears to be protecting Big Pharma by using the very same tactics.
The coming collapse of the FDAUltimately, of course, the FDA will be defeated by health freedom rebels. I believe we will one day see a golden age of health freedom, where drug ads are banned, supplements are set free and the act of helping patients heal (rather than merely treating their symptoms) will no longer be criminalized. Make no mistake: healing has been outlawed in the United States.
In time, the criminals running drug companies and the FDA will be arrested, tried and convicted for their crimes against humanity, and doctors will suddenly find themselves out of work as the population embraces nutrition and disease prevention, eliminating the need for the ridiculous drugs-and-surgery approach of conventional medicine.
Modern medicine belongs in the history books, and top FDA decision makers belong in prison. It's time to move past the immense harm being caused by today's system of medicine and embrace a new era of health freedom.

America is asleep, drugged and diseased. Big Pharma and the FDA couldn't be happier.
