Facebook goes full Orwellian, begins deleting PRIVATE messages that mention Hillary Clinton’s crimes

Twentieth century futurist author George Orwell, who wrote “Nineteen Eight-Four,” a dystopian novel about an all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful central government that controls thoughts, speech and actions in the 1940s (long before the Internet), did not mention social media by name.

But he certainly saw it coming, and knew that it would become an agent of social control.

As noted by The Daily Sheeple, Facebook – which has been increasingly censoring public posts about subjects it’s left-wing, big government-favoring editors don’t like, has now begun taking down and blocking disfavored content in private messages.

The site posted a screen shot of a message including two links to stories on its own pages, with this ominous Facebook-generated passage in yellow block: “This message was removed because it contains blocked or harmful content.”

Both links were to Daily Sheeple stories quoting Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and disparaging remarks she “allegedly” made regarding launching a drone strike against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, and comparing supporters of her vanquished Democratic opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., to “basement dwellers.”

The site noted that it should be obvious that “basement dwellers” or even “drone” should not have flagged the content. Rather, the censorship looks very political in nature because both story links were to stories that were critical of Clinton (though both only quoted her).

“Ask yourself who that content is really so ‘harmful’ to that Facebook had to block and censor it. Assange, obviously, who had his life threatened by a power-hungry psychopath back in 2010… but that was six years ago now and he’s still here in one piece (at least for the time being),” Daily Sheeple noted.

Such censorship really only benefits “the same power-hungry psychopath” who threatened Assange in an email she crafted to a staffer – Hillary Clinton.

As for Facebook’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, it is difficult to determine whether he is a Democrat or Republican, because he has given money to both. What’s more, he is registered to vote in California but is unaffiliated with any party.

However, as Breitbart News has reported, Clinton has received far more donations from Facebook employees than Trump (U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., was a distant second). As of May, Clinton had received about $114,000 from Facebook employees, while Rubio – who suspended his campaign in March – took in only $16,604.

None of this should surprise conservatives, who are accustomed to seeing Facebook news editors suppress conservative and alternative media outlets in favor of Left-leaning establishment media.
