Approval of drug-in-a-lotion proves yet again that the skin absorbs toxic chemicals
by Mike Adams, NaturalNews Editor
If drugs can be delivered through lotions, then why is it still legal for perfume, cologne and soap manufacturers to use highly toxic ingredients that cause liver damage and cancer? The average bottle of perfume contains 20 - 40 known carcinogenic chemicals that accelerate liver failure, cancer, nervous system disorders and other problems.
Don't use perfume or cologne. Put nothing on your body that contains fragrance other than essential oils.
- The Food and Drug Administration yesterday approved Novavax Inc.'s new
treatment for hot flashes and night sweats, adding the first lotion to a
market for hormone replacement therapy now dominated by prescription
pills and patches.
- Federal regulators found that the drug, called Estrasorb, effectively
treates the nagging symptoms of menopause, which afflict an estimated 80
percent of women at some point.
- Biotechnology analysts believe Estrasorb may eventually find a $200
million annual niche in a $1.6 billion estrogen-therapy market.
- Analysts estimate that more than 80 percent of women who take estrogen
therapies rely on a pill, meaning Novavax will compete most strongly
against its alternatives, most likely the patch.
