Circumcision causes pain so severe newborns often suffer lasting brain trauma as a consequence

Genital mutilation is an abhorrent, abusive act when inflicted upon females; when it’s forced upon males, however, the “civilized” world considers it a normal, scientifically backed practice called circumcision. Why the discrimination, then?

Despite numerous studies showing that circumcision can cause negative side effects such as permanent brain damage, particularly in the areas of the brain associated with reasoning and emotions, most parents (at least in the United States), still let their newborns suffer through this outdated procedure.

Dr. Paul Tinari, PhD, of Kingston General Hospital in Ontario, Canada, was approached by a team of nurses after the latter observed how circumcised newborns exhibited excruciating levels of pain so severe that their behavior seemed to have changed in a tangible and, possibly, lasting way.

Alarmed, Dr. Tinari then suggested that they analyze the brains of both circumcised and uncircumcised boys using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and/or Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanning to see if there were, indeed, differences between the two groups.

Using one of the nurse’s sons – whose father had him circumcised – as a test subject, the research team eventually found, based on MRI data collected throughout the process, that a “significant trauma” occurred in conjunction with the foreskin removal process. They further noted that the most pronounced brain changes occurred in the limbic system, which includes the amygdala and frontal and temporal lobes.

A neurologist then concluded that the circumcision process had inflicted extreme trauma on the boy, so much so that his entire sense of reasoning and perception were altered. Follow-up tests further proved that the circumcised boy’s brain may likely never return to its normal baseline configuration again.

Male circumcision is cruel and unnecessary

Undoubtedly, these shocking findings run contrary to what many conventional doctors and parents still embrace as routine medical practice. Because it goes so blatantly against what’s deemed today’s status quo, Dr. Tinari’s study has yet to be published – not because it’s not based on scientific evidence – but because it goes against the official narrative of conventional medicine.

“Our problems began when we attempted to publish our findings in the open medical literature,” stated Dr. Tinari, the current director of the Pacific Institute for Advanced Study. “I would encourage anyone with access to fMRI and /or PET scanning machines to repeat our research as described … confirm our results, and then publish the results in the open literature.”
