Pain is something nobody wants to experience, but a recent study indicated that 1.5 billion people worldwide suffer from chronic pain. Chronic pain is different from acute pain, because it can persist for weeks, months, or even years.
During this time your body is sending pain signals to your nervous system that can wear down your ability to function, making physical activity extremely difficult.
Chronic pain can originate in many different ways, but the most common is from a specific situation or condition such as a low back injury or a surgery, or from chronic illness, such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, or diabetes.
While there are many different ways that medical professionals recommend people treat and find relief from chronic pain, one of the ways gaining scientific prominence is whole body vibration therapy (WBV).
These machines provide users with a way to relieve musculoskeletal pain, which often contributes to conditions like low back pain. When the chronic pain is structural in nature, it requires a solution beyond just pain medication to treat it effectively.
