Obama says ‘a pretty sizable percentage’ of world leaders are ‘out of their mind’ – is he talking about himself?

The cringe-worthy circus act that is the 2016 presidential election cycle got off to a bang recently when the current Commander-in-Chief decided to be the pot calling the kettle black on an episode of Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Barack Obama, after being asked by Seinfeld how many world leaders he believes are “completely out of their mind,” responded, ostensibly in jest, with, “A pretty sizable percentage,” to which both circus clowns had a nice laugh.

The online show features comedian Jerry Seinfeld driving around in classic cars chatting with famous people whom he believes have said enough funny things in public to qualify for a little reality show banter. And on this particular episode, Obama was the featured act.

Since Obama isn’t allowed off the White House premises without his entourage armed with “assault weapons,” the two took a quick drive around the White House grounds before entering what appeared to be a White House break room for a cup of joe. And that’s when the fun began.

After asking hardball questions like “how often do you walk around the White House in your underwear?” and “what type of sport would you compare to politics?” Seinfeld inquired, “How many world leaders do you think are just completely out of their mind?”

“A pretty sizable percentage,” Obama replied.

“Part of what happens is that these guys, I think the longer they stay in office, the more likely that is to happen,” Obama went on to explain, trying to sound wise. “At a certain point, your feet hurt, and you’re having trouble peeing, and you have absolute power.”

Seinfeld insinuates Obama is one of the crazy world leaders

As Obama is stating this, Seinfeld interjects with a few clever comments of his own, insinuating that Obama is one of the “out of their mind” world leaders that he’s trying to denigrate. Little does Obama know that the joke is on him.

“Privilege is toxic, sadly,” Seinfeld pipes in, to which Obama verbally agrees. “Things that people struggle to achieve, they get to positions of power, influence, money, [they] can do things – it has a toxic effect on their judgment.”

At about this moment, Obama appears to finally get what Seinfeld seems to be insinuating, and quickly turns it around on Seinfeld before, almost in the blink of an eye, changing the subject to something else entirely to deflect from the baited gaffe into which he fell headlong.

It’s a brilliant act by both performers, in which it’s difficult to tell whether or not they intentionally planned the bit as some kind of mockery of the viewing audience (and the American public at large), or whether Obama really is so incredibly deluded that he didn’t even see it coming.

In either case, what was supposed to be a fireside-type interview with Obama by one of America’s most well-known comedians ended up becoming a token example of Obama’s sociopathic, narcissistic tendencies, as verbalized in his own words.

The 20-minute episode wraps up with Obama making a joke about himself pushing Obamacare, following which he proceeds to push Obamacare, and the two awkwardly walk out of the room and back outside. Obama is then seen declaring the interview “fun,” and Seinfeld lets Obama take the 1963 Corvette out for another spin around the White House grounds.

Not a single serious issue was addressed during the comedic interview. And this, friends, is the current state of our union.

A Deadline.com commenter was spot on when she wrote:

“Oh the irony. Of all the presidents in my lifetime, it is Obama joking about the other leaders being off their rockers. That has to ‘take the cake.’ Oh well, after the past seven years, who better to ask about ‘insanity’ than Obama?”
