Meditation And Marijuana – An Effective Combination for Cancer

A Harvard University study as far back as 2011 showed that after only 8 weeks of meditation, we can actually alter our brains for the better. Marijuana has been shown to be an effective cancer treatment. Combining the two can give cancer patients a much better prognosis.

The area in the brain responsible for processing fear, anxiety and stress, called the angdala, can become smaller after only 27 minutes per daty of meditation. Other benefits were noted in studies, such as improved attention and concentration. Another US study found that stress is not just an emotional side effect but it can actually accelerate the growth of prostate cancer. This is where meditation is a useful add-on to an existing treatment plan.

Useful meditation techniques

Anyone can learn simple meditation techniques with proper guidance. Some types of meditation include:

Concentrative meditation – this uses an object of focus, such as breathing or sound.

Mindfulness meditation – this teaches us to be unconditionally present, so your mind doesn’t wander or focus on your cancer.

Transcendal meditation involves deep physical relaxation while maintaining an alert mind.

Marijuana has been shown, both anecdotally and through studies, to be an effective treatment for various cancers. Even if it doesn’t provide a total cure, it is useful for nausea relief, pain relief and helps to counter insomnia. Choose the right marijuana strain (indica) will sedate you, can slow synapses, reduce mental distractions and facilitate concentration. This will help you to meditate in the right way.

Changing to a more natural, plant-based diet, incorporating superfoods, getting cannabinoids into the system and meditating can only help cancer patients to achieve a better outcome.
