Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that Twitter has become an extremely important aspect of human connection in 2016. We are all guilty of using it in some vicinity. It’s an instant way to share our thoughts and opinions with thousands of people, while receiving instant news updates and connected with the world at large. When used for good, Twitter is an immensely important and valuable tool. Of course, it isn’t always put to good use, an recently people have found themselves in hot water for “misusing” their profile on the social media network — because that’s what the Regressive Left finds to be of utmost important in 2016.

On the other side of the fascist equation, it has been revealed that the federal government is now serving lawsuits to individuals through their Twitter profiles. Yes, serious business is now being conducted through a social network that is most frequently used for sharing memes.

Pro-jihad extremist Hajjaj bin Fahd al-Ajmi has been served a lawsuit through his Twitter page, making it at least the third time the United States has utilized such a method. The Daily Sheeple reports, “U.S. Magistrate Laurel Beeler discovered al-Ajami’s Twitter account, and after being convinced that he still uses the account, decided to use it as the method of service most likely to reach him, and sent the service of process directly to his Twitter account.”

While this is, on the surface, a little bit comical, this sets a standard that the American people very likely aren’t going to agree with — because it could be incredibly dangerous for us all. By policing social media networks, the federal government inches closer and closer to a full-scale enslavement of our country’s citizens. This isn’t an exaggeration, folks. This could very well be what our future looks like.

You could argue that it is a good thing that someone like al-Ajmi receiving a lawsuit is a good thing — and by all accounts, he is an absolutely disgusting person — but it does set the standard for the rest of us that create countless issues. Who wants the police reading your every tweet, policing your thoughts and staring over your shoulder? By pretending that this is acceptable behavior, we’re all in putting ourselves in trouble.

We need to be able to live our lives freely — completely freely — for our society to flourish. We cannot give an inch to the powers that be, because we all know that they’ll take an entire mile.
