He chose someone who does not like or trust the Environmental Protection Agency (and knows that human-caused “climate change” is a hoax) to run that agency. He picked someone who is supportive of homeschooling and school choice to run the Department of Education. He’s picked a seasoned business executive with international ties to head up the State Department (yes, Rex Tillerson, Exxon-Mobile CEO, even has ties to Russia!).
And so on.
The lamestream media, of course, is doing all it can to discredit these fine men and women. They’re “extremists,” you see, because they don’t buy into the same, old failed big government mindset that the country cannot possibly function well unless all power flows through Washington, D.C.
Of Trump’s pick for Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, the Los Angeles Times wrote:
She and her family are among the country’s largest donors to Republican and conservative Christian causes, including opposition to same-sex marriage.
Oh, NO! Conservative! Christian! Believer in traditional marriage! Extremist!!
Of Scott Pruitt, Trump’s pick to run EPA, The New York Times called him a “climate change denialist” and added:
Mr. Pruitt, a Republican, has been a key architect of the legal battle against Mr. Obama’s climate change policies, actions that fit with the president-elect’s comments during the campaign. Mr. Trump has criticized the established science of human-caused global warming as a hoax, vowed to “cancel” the Paris accord committing nearly every nation to taking action to fight climate change, and attacked Mr. Obama’s signature global warming policy, the Clean Power Plan, as a “war on coal.”
Denialist! Global warming actually is a hoax perpetuated by the extreme Left to use as a political wedge issue and as a means of imposing top-down, authoritarian rules that restrict individual freedom and liberty, as well as the right to live life free of the nanny state. If this were not so, then the global warming hoaxers would not have to fake “global warming/climate change” data. As for the lie that this is all “established science,” well, it isn’t.
What about Obama’s picks for his Cabinet? Take about extremists. His first attorney general, Eric Holder, who represented terrorists at his law firm prior to taking the top Justice Department post, and a brazen opponent of the First Amendment, is an extremist.
Hillary Clinton, the criminally corrupt head of Obama’s State Department, with her “government knows best” approach to policymaking, is an extremist.
Obama’s pick to run the Department of Labor, Thomas Perez, brought with him to his post a unique blend of racial bigotry (against Whites, of course) and union thuggery. That’s an extremist.
When it came to picking real extremists for the top jobs in his administration, Obama — himself a radical from way back — outdid himself. As Steve Baldwin wrote in 2009 for the Western Journalism Center:
Much has been written about Obama’s controversial appointments, not only to the federal bench, but to key cabinet positions, as well as to the unaccountable (and probably unconstitutional) “Czar” positions. Much of the criticism has dwelled on the Obama administration’s lack of vetting when filling these rolls—but that’s not the issue.
To the contrary, the Obama team did investigate thoroughly and they choose precisely. When an administration repeatedly nominates hard-left individuals, it’s not a vetting error—it’s a pattern. We should not allow the media to portray these appointments as a series of errors; but rather, we need to realize that Team Obama is simply nominating those who share their goal of radically changing America.
Most Americans have a hard time understanding this because they refuse to believe Obama is this extreme. But he is. For a year prior to his election conservatives warned voters that everything we knew about Obama indicated that his views were far from the mainstream. This was obvious when one analyzed his friends, which groups he funded while a “community activist,” his Illinois State Senate record, his United States Senate record and even what he wrote in his own books.
The reality, of course, is that Obama’s views are far from the mainstream and it is embarrassing so many Americans fell for his leftist candy-coated lies. Indeed, it appears that Obama is the most far left President in American history. His appointees only confirm this. These appointees hail from the crowd who regard their pedigree as the 60’s activists who cheered on the Vietcong, while American boys were slaughtered in the jungles of Vietnam. They hate America, or more precisely, they hate America’s heritage; American institutions, and the American Constitution.
Clearly, the same cannot be said about Trump’s picks. The men and women he is selecting do indeed have a different mindset that the Leftists Obama appointed, in that they trust American individualism and ingenuity much more than top-down, nanny state big government. And based on what we’ve seen out of the latter for the past 50 or so years, it definitely is time for a new direction, new leadership, and a new governing philosophy. Doubling down on the same failed policies while hoping for a better result is the very definition of insanity (and the Left is most definitely insane).
Trump’s picks also have a healthy respect for the Constitution as written and as intended to be interpreted by our founders. Only the radical Left would call such traditional views of the nation’s founding document extreme.
No, Trump isn’t picking extremists to help him change America’s direction and make ‘er great again. He’s picking people he believes can do the job he wants them to do.
To our hapless lapdog media, that’s extreme. To most other Americans, it’s a change that is overdue.
