Liberals not only hate America, they hate all of Western civilization

In case you missed it, President Donald J. Trump visited Poland last week and gave a tremendous speech in which he became the first president in eight years to actually defend U.S. and Western values.

Most Americans are patriotic and love their country, so the speech was very well received by them. But the America-hating Left was apoplectic, criticizing the speech as bigoted, racist, homophobic, yada, yada, yada… You’ve heard it before.

As reported by The Daily Caller, the only people who hate America and Western civilization, it seems, are those who have benefitted most from it:

President Trump gave the most important speech of his term so far in Poland Thursday — and liberals were seriously triggered by it.

Delivered as a stirring call to defend western civilization, Trump’s message was warmly received by the thousands of Poles who attended his speech. The president also praised Poland as a model for Europe, a country that survived the brutal yoke of Soviet-imposed communism to achieve the prosperity it enjoys today.

Furthermore, Trump was not at all apologetic — unlike his predecessor, known early in his first term as going on a global “apology tour” that lasted both terms — in expressing his support for patriotic fervor and Western interests against the Left-wing globalists who seek to exploit the United States and Western nations at every opportunity. “Americans, Poles, and the nations of Europe value individual freedom and sovereignty. We must work together to confront forces, whether they come from inside or out, from the South or the East, that threaten over time to undermine these values and to erase the bonds of culture, faith and tradition that make us who we are. If left unchecked — these forces will undermine our courage, sap our spirit, and weaken our will to defend ourselves and our societies,” the president said.

During his speech, Trump went on to list a number of traditional Western values and qualities that connect the U.S., Poland, and other nations, such as belief in the rule of law and creating brilliant art. The president also warned that if the West cannot preserve “what we inherited from our ancestors,” those traditions will fail and no longer exist anywhere in the world.

The optimism of this president was also on display, again.

“Just as Poland could not be broken, I declare today for the world to hear that the West will never be broken,” he said. “Our values will prevail. Our people will thrive. And our civilization will triumph. So together, let us all fight like the Poles — for family, for freedom, and for God.”

Well. So much enthusiastic support for Western culture and values was just too much for the American Alt-Left which, by its criticism, demonstrates its loathing for those same values and traditions.

As noted by The Daily Caller, far-Left media outlets including The New Republic, Vox, The Atlantic and others panned Trump’s alleged “Western chauvinist” message. The New Republic’s Jeet Heer whined about how Trump envisioned the West in “blood and soil” terms while ignoring its liberal ideals. To give you an idea of where this jerk is coming from, he wrapped up his pathetic column with fully anticipated critique: That Trump “won the presidency with a campaign of white nationalism [emphasis added], and now, in Warsaw, he has used white grievance politics to redefine ‘the West.’”

First of all, Trump ran on a message of “America First” — only the Left has concluded that he meant just “White” Americans (he clearly meant all Americans and has said so from the beginning). Secondly, it’s the Left that has regularly sought to “redefine” traditional Western values, as in destroy them and replace them with something completely foreign.

You get the point, though. If there is any America “hate,” it is coming from Barack Obama’s Left.
