Obama administration KNEW Antifa was a terrorist organization and was behind nearly ALL violence at Trump campaign events

A bombshell report confirms that the Obama administration knew months before the November elections that the Left-wing group “Antifa” was responsible for instigating nearly all violence at Trump political rallies and conservative speaking events.

Moreover, Politico reported Friday, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security had declared Antifa members “domestic terrorists” in a report written in April 2016, at a time when Donald J. Trump was sailing to the Republican nomination.

Earlier this week reports noted that DHS had contacted local and state authorities three days prior to events in Charlottesville, where violence between Antifa members and right-wing neo-Nazis and white supremacists turned deadly. A “law enforcement sensitive” assessment from DHS’ Office of Intelligence Analysis warned that the event could be “among the most violent to date.”

It was.

But how did analysts know? Simple. DHS and the FBI have been following Antifa for more than a year, documenting the group’s increasingly violent behavior. As NewsTarget reported:

In the days and weeks leading up to Charlottesville, DHS analysts were seeing signs of gathering storm clouds, as both sides were clearly gearing up to do battle with one another. “Anarchist extremists and white supremacist extremists online are calling on supporters to be prepared for or to instigate violence at the 12 August rally,” warned the assessment.

As further noted by Politico, not only has Antifa become more and more violent as the months passed, the group is using alleged “racism,” “fascism,” and “bigotry” of Trump supporters as cover for simply being anarchists and terrorists. The outlet noted:

Previously unreported documents disclose that by April 2016, authorities believed that “anarchist extremists” were the primary instigators of violence at public rallies against a range of targets. They were blamed by authorities for attacks on the police, government and political institutions, along with symbols of “the capitalist system,” racism, social injustice and fascism, according to a confidential 2016 joint intelligence assessment by DHS and the FBI.

The fact that the Obama administration was aware of the threat posed by Antifa and was fully knowledgeable of the fact that its far-Left members were causing the vast majority of political violence last year lays waste to Democrats’ insistence that Trump supporters were mostly responsible.

The April 2016 assessment and DHS’ continued tracking of Antifa as a terrorist group also validates Trump’s claims in the aftermath of the Charlottesville violence that both sides were indeed to blame for the violence.

Politico, no ally of the president, made sure to quote some law enforcement officials blamed Trump’s rhetoric and policies for the formation of Antifa and other Alt-Left groups. But the outlet never acknowledges that the attitudes and political ideology of Antifa more closely align with those of Barack Obama and former Democratic presidential contender Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Nor does the site mention that Alt-Left supporters of both Obama and Sanders have been responsible for shootings and other violent acts committed against Republicans and conservatives.

But it’s clear that everyone is well aware of which groups are posing the gravest danger to American civil society since the 1960s — and it’s not typical Trump supporters.

“It was in that period [as the Trump campaign emerged] that we really became aware of them,” said one senior law enforcement official tracking domestic extremists in an interview with Politico. “These antifa guys were showing up with weapons, shields and bike helmets and just beating the shit out of people. … They’re using Molotov cocktails, they’re starting fires, they’re throwing bombs and smashing windows.”

What’s more, the FBI and DHS both believe that we’ve not yet see the peak of violence — that the worst is still to come.
