Mueller’s special investigation is nothing more than a “show trial” to destroy Trump

If the future of the country weren’t on the line, the lengths that congressional democrats and liberals within the mainstream media are going to take down President Trump would almost be laughable. In the five months of Trump’s time in office, the left has successfully manufactured a scandal and perpetuated the myth that the President somehow colluded with the Russians throughout the election. What’s laughable about this is the fact that the democrats continue to tell us that they want to proceed with an investigation that is fair, unbiased and based on fact, yet so far it has been anything but. As a matter of fact, it has become quite clear that the Russia probe is nothing more than a republican witch hunt, with the ultimate goal being the impeachment of Donald Trump.

On June 14, as the rest of the country was mourning and praying over the tragic shooting that took place in Alexandria, Virginia, the Washington Post was busy — you guessed it — attacking Donald Trump. The piece, written by Devlin Barrett, Adam Entous, Ellen Nakashima and Sari Horwitz, alleged that the Special Counsel overseeing the Russia investigation is investigating President Trump for possible obstruction of justice. Their source? “Officials.” No names, no evidence; just “officials.”

And the mainstream media wonders why the American people are losing faith in them.

The very next day, the Washington Post published another article alleging that the Special Counsel is investigating Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his business dealings. “Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is investigating the finances and business dealings of Jared Kushner… as part of the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter,” the article read. You’ll notice that yet again, the sources for the newspaper’s allegations are vague at best. Anyone with a computer and a third-grade writing level is capable of sitting down and writing a story “according to U.S. officials.” Why should anyone believe them?

The article went on to say, “The officials who described the financial focus of the investigation spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.” Since when is leaking information about ongoing investigations to the mainstream media okay as long as it is done anonymously? Isn’t it illegal to say anything at all, regardless of whether or not you reveal yourself as the source of the information?

The Trump administration responded to these leaks by urging Americans to question any allegations that don’t mention a specific source. “Americans should exercise caution before accepting as true stories any stories attributed to anonymous ‘officials,'” warned Trump’s Deputy Attorney General Rob Rosenstein, “particularly when they do not identify the country — let alone the branch or agency of government – with which the alleged sources supposedly are affiliated.”

For more proof that the Russia investigation is nothing more than a left-wing show trial to destroy Donald Trump, all you have to do is look at the team Robert Mueller has assembled. According to a CNN analysis of Federal Election Commission records, three members of Mueller’s legal team have given political donations almost exclusively to liberal democrats. One of them, named James Quarles, has given almost $33,000 to political campaigns over the years, including the presidential campaigns of Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, John Kerry, former president Barack Obama and 2016 democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Based on this fact alone, how could anyone possibly still believe that this investigation is fair and unbiased? Furthermore, how could anyone think that it is really about anything more than taking down the President of the United States?
