In trying to explain how she plans to come up with $42 trillion to fund her grandiose plan of providing free Medicare, free college tuition, and free housing for all, Democratic darling and unabashed socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told CNN‘s Chris Cuomo during a recent interview that she believes her utopic vision will actually be more affordable than our current system.
Offering no proof whatsoever to back this claim – because it’s patently false, of course – Ocasio-Cortez is seen in a video clip of the interview suffering something of a verbal meltdown as she tries to defend her unrealistic platform, which even Cuomo attempts to inform her has already been tried in Bernie Sanders’ home state of Vermont, where it failed miserably.
“It is all very expensive,” Cuomo tells Ocasio-Cortez, adding that “they couldn’t get it done in his (Bernie Sanders) state because of how expensive it is … that was too much for people. How do you pay? How do you sell it?”
Rather than offer up detailed financials or other concrete data to support her socialistic agenda for America, Ocasio-Cortez instead tried to argue that Americans are already somehow paying more than $42 trillion a year for sub-par healthcare – another claim with absolutely no basis in reality.
“They do not talk about the sticker shock of the cost of our existing system,” Ocasio-Cortez is seen arguing in the video clip.
“You know, in a Koch brothers-funded study, if any study is going to try to be a little bit slanted it would be one funded by the Koch Brothers. It shows that Medicare for All is actually much more – is actually much cheaper than the current system that we pay right now,” she added, referring to research showing that her vision is both financially and practically unfeasible.
Ocasio-Cortez didn’t stop there with her insane ramblings, however. She continued to rattle off unsubstantiated nonsense about how people who don’t currently have health care coverage are already costing the system more than $42 trillion, again failing to present any actual evidence to support this claim.
“And we’re also not talking about why aren’t we incorporating the cost of all the funeral expenses of those who die because they can’t afford access to health care,” Ocasio-Cortez stated with a straight face. “That is part of the cost of our system.”
In other words, Americans are dying because they don’t have government health care coverage, according to Ocasio-Cortez. And the costs associated with their funerals are aggregately more than the $42 trillion she believes is going to appear out of thin air for her to implement the ultimate “nanny state” that she envisions for America.
In years past, someone like Ocasio-Cortez would have been considered an extreme leftist lunatic – someone so far on the fringe, and so detached from reality, that almost nobody would have taken her seriously. And yet, in 2018, she’s become the poster child of the Democratic Party.
Keep in mind that Ocasio-Cortez is also advocating for eliminating our nation’s borders, releasing all prisoners and closing down all prisons, as well as abolishing all “profits.”
What Ocasio-Cortez is proposing, in essence, is the complete destruction of the United States as we once knew it. She essentially wants to replace all remaining freedoms, liberties, and opportunities with absolute tyranny, control, and police state slavery. And this is what Democrats are hoping will bring about their so-called “blue wave” victory this November?
