Former NYC mayor and current presidential lawyer Rudy Giuliani dropped a bombshell warning to the Deep State during a telephone interview Thursday with Fox News’ Sean Hannity: A lot of information about criminal activity that threatened our very republic will soon drop, and it will be “shocking” to Americans.
“Sean we’ve known this for a year… You can’t BELIEVE what’s going to come out,” Giuliani began.
“And this is dramatic revelation now. But Bruce Ohr should have been prosecuted and his wife [Nellie Ohr] for conflicts of interest ten months ago because we had a Justice Department that was completely warped,” he continued.
“The fact is that these are crimes that are shocking. These are crimes that go to the very heart of our republic. These people had a plan to stop the Republican candidate from getting elected and then they executed a plan to remove him from office on false evidence, false testimony. The whole thing was made up from the very beginning and they sold it to 90 percent of our media,” Giuliani said.
Giuliani’s warning came after reports earlier in the day noted that then-Director James Comey’s FBI had documented the obvious anti-Trump bias contained in the infamous dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele shortly after the 2016 election, but continued to use it anyway to secure Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) surveillance warrants to spy on members of the president’s campaign and administration.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Hannity in a separate show segment, according to Fox News.
“I know personally there’s a lot more out there,” he added.
The findings were uncovered by legal watchdog group Judicial Watch via a Freedom of Information Act request. The partially redacted documents also show that Ohr, then the No. 4 official at the Justice Department, kept in contact with Steele for at least six months after he was fired by the FBI for unauthorized media contacts in November 2016.
Also, the documents — summaries of FBI interviews with Ohr called 302s — indicate that he knew by September 2016, a month before the first FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign was granted by the court, that an individual linked to the dossier was “desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being the U.S. president.”
“Ohr believes [redacted] wanted to blunt or foil the Kremlin’s plans,” the FBI document went on as it recounted claims that were pushed by Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm hired by the Clinton campaign and the DNC to produce the dossier.
Fox News reported that a source close to the issue said “this had the effect of putting a senior DOJ official on notice that a witness/source had an extreme bias.”
In May, The National Sentinel reported that notes from State Department official Kathleen Kavalec, who met with Steele in October as he attempted to shop his dossier there and get it into the public via the media.
In his conversation with Kavalec, Steele identified a former Russian spy chief and a top adviser to President Vladimir Putin as having had a role in handling what was believed then to be compromising information about the president, her notes indicate.
As for the FBI and Ohr, The Hill’s John Solomon noted in January that the former ranking DoJ official told top FBI figures that the dossier used to obtain the FISA warrants was a political document and not actual intelligence.
Ohr told the FBI and Obama DoJ officials that the dossier’s author, former British spy Christopher Steele, had been hired by Fusion GPS — whom his wife worked for — to produce it on behalf of the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign, making its contents highly suspect.
As for Giuliani’s warning, Americans concerned with seeing justice done to those involved in Spygate continue to wait for the day when that will actually happen.
