Now, after a small group of apparent supporters of President Donald Trump broke into the U.S. Capitol Building, suddenly he and they are "insurrectionist traitors" who have committed the ultimate act of sedition.
Don't believe a word of that lie.
Initially, the rioting had purpose and was in the eyes of millions legitimate (of course, most Americans who agreed with the violence weren't caught up in any of it) following the death of George Floyd in late May.
But very quickly the Marxist/anarchist left took advantage of Floyd's death — and the left's practice of looking the other way — to heart, ramping up the violence and destroying billions of dollars' worth of public and private property.
This week, the garbage media and their Democrat allies shed crocodile tears for Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who reportedly died from injuries sustained in battling rioters who invaded the people's house last week. But these same ghouls and their media buddies all but ignored the killing of retired black police captain David Dorn, murdered on the street in St. Louis by a Black Lives Matter thug.
And that was just the beginning of the hypocrisy, as The National Pulse notes:
Even one dead is too many, especially during what are supposed to be peaceful protests. Everyone responsible for murder should be held to account. But that's not what happened in 2020, while Democratic Party politicians encouraged their supporters to continue their violent protests while the media called them "mostly peaceful."
But we should have known better: Democrats have been refusing to condemn violence throughout the Trump era, such as when "Squad" members Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wouldn't condemn the leftist anarchist and Antifa supporter who attacked an Immigration and Customs Enforcement holding facility near Tacoma, Wash., in July 2019.
And let's talk about 'inflammatory rhetoric,' shall we? AOC, as she is known, had been calling such facilities "concentration camps," which, of course, suggests that the ICE personnel and contractors running them are Nazis — outrageous.
In fact, Democrats have been inciting violence against the right and against Trump supporters as far back as 2015, and against police officers. Remember the "Pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon" BLM chants? We do.
At the time, BLM was "officially" indoctrinated into the Democratic Party about that same time. And within a year, five police officers in Dallas were murdered while seven more were harmed by an Army vet who said BLM inspired him, in a premeditated sniper attack that many likened to an act of domestic terrorism.
"But the media now wants to claim that despite telling protesters to be peaceful and go home – even before the aggression at the U.S. Capitol – that Donald Trump is to blame for mobs smashing windows, and the eventual death of an officer," The National Pulse noted.
In fact, the president never encouraged his supporters to attack the U.S. Capitol Building.
"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard," Trump said during a Jan. 6 speech to a rally in Washington, D.C.
"There is no evidence of President Trump inciting violence But establishment media is repeating a big lie often enough to make it come true to their viewers," One American News Network’s Jack Posobiec noted, as he implored Democrats and the garbage media to "stop the gaslighting." (Related: Anarchist hackers now targeting police with doxing campaigns aimed at exposing them to violent mobs.)
He added: "Tens of thousands of people marched peacefully on Jan. 6," he noted on Twitter.
The Democrats embrace of legitimate anarchists, however, went 'unnoticed' by the media, somehow. That included former Rep. Keith Ellison, now Minnesota's unhinged attorney general, who posted a selfie holding a book, "Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook."
And let's be clear: Antifa isn't 'anti-fascist,' they are fascistic in their tactics of using violence to silence political speech they don't agree with. Calling Trump and his supporters "fascists" all day long doesn't make it so when their behavior tells a much different story.
Rare noted in January 2018:
Given Antifa's track record in the United States, there is little cause for optimism that these activists won't begin bludgeoning anyone with whom they disagree. In August, the group attacked and beat non-violent protesters during a "No to Marxism" rally in Berkeley, California. The "No to Marxism" event was organized by a self-described "transsexual female who embraces diversity," and who told fascists and KKK members they were not welcome at the march — hardly someone worth punching.
And yet, that's what Antifa members have been doing now for years — engaging in political violence against the right and President Trump's supporters, all with the blessing of most Democrats.
Ground Zero for this organization and where they are honing their tactics is Portland, Ore. For more than 100 straight days last year, Antifa terrorized much of the city's downtown area, even besieging a federal courthouse for roughly a month — with the blessing of the city's gutless Democratic mayor, Ted Wheeler.
To top of Democrat intransigence and tacit approval, the Speaker of the House, second in line for the presidency, called federal agents sent by President Trump to protect a federal courthouse "stormtroopers" — another Democrat reference to Nazi Germany.
Disgusting, yes. Hypocritical, definitely, Par for the course? Absolutely.
