“Height of insanity”: Biden is ripped to shreds after word leaks that his administration wants to pay illegal aliens $450k for breaking into the USA

Joe Biden is drawing major pushback and heat after news broke last week that his regime is negotiating a settlement to hundreds of lawsuits filed by illegal immigrants who broke U.S. laws sneaking into the country and now think they are entitled to hundreds of millions in taxpayer money.

“The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift, the people familiar with the matter said,” explained a report from The Wall Street Journal.

“Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child, the people said. Many families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their circumstances, the people said,” according to the paper. “In another instance, a Department of Homeland Security attorney involved in the settlement talks complained on a conference call that the payouts could amount to more than some families of 9/11 victims received, one person said."

Other sources told the paper that senior officials in the aforementioned departments were in agreement on the amounts of money to be paid out while going on to dispute the 9/11 payout comparison because -- and get this -- the U.S. government "hadn't been responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks."

Mind you, the Trump administration was not responsible for tens of thousands of people crossing into the U.S. illegally, either, but as president, Trump swore an oath to uphold the laws and protect our country, and by any measure, he was doing that. So this line of reasoning from the Biden regime is as lame as it is insane.

Republicans, expectedly and appropriately, were outraged.

“It would be unthinkable to pay damages to a burglar who broke into your home for the ‘psychological trauma’ they endured during the crime,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) noted in a statement, according to Breitbart News. “And yet the Biden administration wants to reward migrants who illegally entered our country with up to $450,000 each for just that reason.”

“The Biden administration’s promises of citizenship and entitlement programs have already caused the worst border crisis in history — a huge cash reward will make it even worse. This is the height of insanity,” Cotton said.

That’s quite the penalty to pay for illegally entering our country. Can you imagine the magnet that will create for more illegal immigration? Way to go Joe!" Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) added.

"I hope every American who voted against mean tweets feels sick to their stomachs over Border Crisis Biden wanting to give 450k to illegals. I hope they feel betrayed, embarrassed, and duped. Because they should," talk show host Michael Berry noted further.

"UNACCEPTABLE Report says Biden admin considering payments of 450k per person 2ppl who crossed the border ILLEGALLY Those are taxpayers dollars We should not be paying anything to ppl who break our laws," Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), riffed.

"Paying $450K to separated illegal migrant families will incentivize not only more illegal crossings, but abandonment of children at the border. It’s encouraging child trafficking," conservative pundit Allie Beth Stuckey opined.

This is obscene. If Democrats had a single ounce of integrity they would join all Republicans and impeach -- and convict -- Biden over this.
