Hypocrite NYC Mayor Eric Adams declares ‘state of emergency’ as migrants bussed from Texas flood ‘sanctuary city’
By JD Heyes // Oct 10, 2022

Democrats for years have claimed to be the party most welcoming to illegal aliens, creating "sanctuaries" for them in any city they run, shunning cooperation with federal immigration officials.

But that was once upon a time: Now, after nearly two years of suffering through a migrant and drug-smuggling crisis, Republican governors in border states are sharing the pain and putting Democratic leaders' vows of 'we welcome immigrants' to the test.

And the Democrat leaders are failing.

Late last month, community leaders of ritzy Martha's Vineyard were outraged when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) flew a group of about 50 migrants to the uber-wealthy, uber-liberal community, and the Democrats who run the community got rid of them in less than 48 hours, bussing them off to a nearby National Guard base. And now, another massive Democrat hypocrite, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, has been exposed.

Over the past several months, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) have been bussing migrants to the Big Apple by the thousands, and now, the 'welcoming sanctuary city' has had enough: Mayor Eric Adams declared a "state of emergency" late last week and began begging for federal assistance.

"Adams said at least 17,000 asylum seekers have been bused to New York City from other parts of the country since April and claimed that many of the people didn't know where they were going when they boarded the buses," Axios reported ahead of the weekend. (That's a lie, by the way -- Abbott, Ducey, and DeSantis have all proven that the migrants are informed of where they are going and volunteer to get aboard the busses.)

"To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C. We are sending them to the U.S. Capitol where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of people they are allowing to come across our border," Abbott said.

"To board a bus or flight, a migrant must volunteer to be transported and show documentation from DHS. Mayors and county judges can notify TDEM of any DHS-facilitated drop-off of migrants in their communities so that the agency can provide appropriate transportation," a press release added.

As for Adams, he not only freaked out but he blamed Abbott and other GOP governors, not Joe Biden, whose open-border policies created the crisis in the first place.

"This is a humanitarian crisis that started with violence and instability in South America, and it is being accelerated by American political dynamics," Adams whined. "The majority are adults, who cannot legally work in this country. Many are families with school-age children. Some are in desperate need of serious medical care.

"We have not asked for this. There was never any agreement to take on the job of supporting thousands of asylum seekers. This responsibility was simply handed to us without warning as buses began showing up," he continued. "We're going to do what we have to do in New York, but we do need help to deal with this crisis that we're facing."

Actually, the real crisis is along the U.S.-Mexico border; Texas and Arizona are bearing the brunt of it, with New Mexico and California also seeing an uptick in crossings.

For his part, Abbott isn't asking the Biden regime for anything.

"To achieve what we're talking about right now requires no additional funding right now," Abbott said. "Securing the border does not come cheap. Securing the border would cost Texas nothing if the federal government was doing its job, but because Joe Biden is not securing the border, the state of Texas has had to step up and spend Texas taxpayer money to do the federal government's job."

Meanwhile, Adams continues to be a massive hypocrite.
