Paul Pelosi undergoes treatment following home invasion break-in, attack with hammer
By JD Heyes // Oct 31, 2022

Paul Pelosi, the businessman husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was being treated on Friday following an early morning attack at the couple's home in San Francisco.

According to multiple reports, the assailant -- identified as David Depape, possibly from Berkeley, Calif. -- entered the home around 2:30 a.m. after breaking out glass on a patio door. He then attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer, according to authorities.

"San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said Depape, 42, is now facing charges of attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, burglary and several other additional felonies stemming from the incident," Fox News reported Friday afternoon. "Scott said police responded to a wellbeing check and found Depape and Paul Pelosi, 82, struggling over a hammer. He said officers then witnessed Depape pull the hammer away from Pelosi and 'violently assaulted' him."

"Officers then immediately tackled Depape, disarmed him and took him into custody, while requesting emergency backup and rendering medical aid at the scene. The motive for the attack remains under investigation," the outlet reported further.

According to a source who spoke to Fox News, the suspect entered the couple's $6.5 million townhouse shouting, "Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?" -- indicating he knew exactly where he was and was targeting the Democratic Speaker.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said that "what happened to Paul Pelosi was a dastardly act."

"I spoke with Speaker Pelosi earlier this morning and conveyed my deepest concern and heartfelt wishes to her husband and their family, and I wish him a speedy recovery," he said in a statement.

Needless to say, left-wing lunatics on Twitter who regularly fan the flames of violence by calling Republicans, and especially Trump-supporting conservatives, every name in the book -- from "fascist" to "Nazi" to "insurrectionists" -- blamed conservative rhetoric for the attack on Pelosi. And fortunately, they were called out for their lies.

Others brought up the fact that far-left agitators attacked Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and nearly assassinated House Minority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) over the past few years.

"This is extremely irresponsible of you. You have no clue what the motivation of the attacker was. Crime is through the roof in San Francisco just like it is in all Democrat run cities. Do I need to remind you how Rand Paul was beaten? How Steve Scalise was shot? I can keep going," former congressional candidate Robby Starbuck tweeted in response to left-wing legal hack Laurence Tribe.

Also, it's worth noting that the Pelosis' home has been vandalized recently by far-left activists who demand she push for "progressive" policies like canceling rent.

All said, no one here at this publisher supports violence against any political candidate for any reason. So we wish Paul Pelosi a speedy recovery and that justice be done to his assailant, regardless of the motive.
