Planned Parenthood executive argues children are born “sexual,” require sex education and porn literacy
By Ethan Huff // Dec 06, 2022

Did you know that Planned Parenthood, America's largest abortion mill, also has a "sex education" division? And did you know that this sex education division has people in its ranks who believe that babies are born "sexual" and require sexual indoctrination and "porn literacy" during their formative years?

This is the position of Bill Taverner, the head of Planned Parenthood's Center for Sex Education in New Jersey. Taverner is quoted as saying that "we are all sexual beings from birth to death," which seems like a very odd way of promoting pedophilia.

At United States congressional briefings, Taverner has promoted Planned Parenthood's sexuality education positions, which apparently include the idea that babies and toddlers are capable of sexual activity and thus require sex indoctrination.

"[We have] in our society an assumption of asexuality of people with intellectual disabilities," Taverner would further add in a statement. "It's a myth that's perpetuated, and really we are all sexual beings from birth until death."

These same sentiments are echoed in a Planned Parenthood sex guide called "Fundamentals of Teaching Sexuality." This document states that "sexuality is a part of life through all the ages and stages."

"Babies, elders, and everyone in between can experience sexuality," the document states overtly, pointing to Planned Parenthood's pro-pedophilia doctrines. (Related: The Planned Parenthood network of abortion mills is riddled with sex abuse scandals.)

Young people must be taught about porn so they can "learn about sexuality," Taverner suggests

Several years prior to making these various pedophilic statements, Taverner argued that underage minors should be exposed to pornography in order to teach them about the world of sexuality that is waiting for them out there.

Since the internet is now a "major influence on how young people learn about sexuality," as Taverner stated in 2012, it is best for Planned Parenthood officials to expose children to porn at a young age so they can learn even more.

"There's access to erotica, pornography – that was very different for young people 30 years ago," Taverner said.

"A lot of [porn] is wrong," Taverner agreed when questioned about porn being wrong for children. However, Taverner still believes, and made sure to clarify, that there is also a lot of "good stuff out there as well."

Porn "literacy," as Taverner called it, is appropriate for children as young as five, or around kindergarten age, all the way through year 12 of high school.

"It [was] certainly not as accessible, certainly not as instantaneous, so there's a lot of information that is useful," Taverner further said.

In a later interview with Fox News in 2021, Taverner backtracked some by stating that he "never wanted pornography to be the primary source of sex education." However, he still believes that "instruction needs to adapt to modern times."

In a rebuttal to all the criticism he has received about being a pedophile, Taverner would later state that he believes it is a logical fallacy to assume that exposing children to porn will make them want to watch it.

"[This] is the same faulty kind of premise as if we teach about condoms," he scoffed. "It's going to make people want to have sex with condoms – maybe that's not a bad thing."

Exposing underage minors to porn is a way to meet "people where they are," Taverner argues, helping children to clarify their values on the topic.

"We need to present opportunities for young people to think about, for example, their values," he argues. "You know, let's do an opinion activity. Let's do the ethics of porn. And that's not to say that there's a right answer."
