Eventbrite BANS events that protect children from LGBT grooming and mutilation, says child defenders are “hateful” and “dangerous”
By Ethan Huff // Aug 15, 2023

The online ticketing platform Eventbrite has unpublished two events from Purple for Parents Indiana, a child advocacy group that fights to protect children from indoctrination and sexualization in schools.

According to Eventbrite, Purple for Parents Indiana is a "hate group" that is "dangerous" because of its agenda to protect innocent kids from grooming pedophiles and other perverts that infest American schools these days.

The cancellation of these two Purple for Parents Indiana events was triggered by a Reddit post on July 11 calling for members of the r/Indiana subreddit to "Report a hate group event!"

The Cheeto-dusted basement dwellers who use Reddit quickly called on their comrades to report the "registered hate group" for "hosting the event" through Eventbrite.

"Check out their eventbright [sic] event and report it," one angry Reddit user wrote, along with a link that at least 20 other Reddit users were confirmed to have clicked in order to report Purple for Parents Indiana to Eventbrite as a "hate group."

Angry Reddit trolls responsible for targeting Purple for Parents Indiana

On July 18, one of the leaders of Purple for Parents Indiana received an email from Eventbrite Trust and Safety notifying her that the first event, called "RSVP America: Restoring Social Virtue and Purity to America," had been unpublished because of the Reddit brigade.

"We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, specifically our policy on Hateful, Dangerous or Violent Content and Events," the email stated.

According to the official "Community Guidelines" posted on Eventbrite's website, such content includes "hate speech, hateful ideologies and hateful activities that incite, encourage or engage in violence, intimidation, disparagement, harassment or threats" based on certain characteristics.

If Purple for Parents Indiana makes any attempt to try to republish the event, Eventbrite further threatened that "severe or repeated violations of our guidelines may result in the suspension or termination of your Eventbrite account."

Around the same time, a chapter leader for the Independent Women's Network received a similar email from Eventbrite about her event, entitled "Let Women Speak Austin." The purpose of this event is to advocate for sex-based protections for women and girls, including in washrooms, locker rooms and other private female spaces.

Concerning the Purple for Parents Indiana event, a board attorney issued a "stern response" to Eventbrite about that event's cancellation. Immediately following this stern response, Purple for Parents Indiana went ahead and republished the event against the demands of Eventbrite.

Eventbrite proceeded a second time to pull down the event on July 20, which prompted the board attorney to request that Eventbrite's legal team get in contact as soon as possible.

Two days after that, Eventbrite unpublished yet another Purple for Parents Indiana event called "Save Our Children and America," a conference that was similarly targeted by Reddit trolls.

"They seem to be targeting Christian and conservative events based on what these radical activists do and the pressure that they put on them," the group said about the Reddit brigade.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) also entered the fray by categorizing Purple for Parents Indiana on its infamous "hate map." Ironically enough, this move by the SPLC has only garnered more attention and driven more traffic to the Purple for Parents Indiana website.

"I do believe SPLC's hand in all of this has tipped off the radicals, because the attacks have ramped up since being put on the hate list," the group further said.
