Susan Rice’s bizarre Trump inauguration day email poses NEW credibility problems for Comey as Obamagate spy scandal widens

If you ever needed more evidence that Barack Obama led the most corrupt administration ever in the history of our country, here’s some: Fired FBI Director James Comey may have misled Congress over details regarding the former regime’s spy operation against the Trump campaign.

As reported by Fox News — one of the few top news networks aside from Newsmax TV and the One America News Network that is attempting to get to the bottom of this massive scandal — Obama national security advisor Susan Rice sent herself a bizarre email on the day President Donald J. Trump was inaugurated a little more than a year ago documenting a meeting between herself, Obama, Comey and others regarding the ongoing Trump-Russia ‘collusion’ investigation.

“President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book,’” Rice wrote. “The president stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”

The existence of that meeting appears to contradict testimony Comey gave the Senate Intelligence Committee during his opening statement June 8, 2017, in which he downplayed his meetings with Obama when contrasting them with numerous conversations he had with Trump before he was dismissed.

“I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) — once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016,” Comey said in his written statement.

However, Fox News reports:

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., earlier this week released an email Rice sent to herself on Inauguration Day 2017, detailing an Oval Office meeting held Jan. 5 with Obama, Comey, then-Vice President Joe Biden, then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and herself.

So — Comey did meet with Obama at least a third time after all. And wouldn’t you know it — the topic was the bogus Russia investigation into Trump campaign “collusion.”

Okay, so technically speaking, Comey’s statement doesn’t directly contradict, because he did use the qualifier “alone” when testifying about how often he spoke with Obama. And yet, it’s pretty strange that he wouldn’t have mentioned that final meeting…unless, of course, it involved a subject Comey (and others) would not want to publicize, right?

In a letter to Rice seeking further explanation of her email, Grassley and Graham asked a number of additional questions pertaining to Comey’s role in the meeting. In particular, the senators want to know if Comey mentioned any potential press coverage regarding the so-called “Trump dossier” and if he described the FBI’s relationship with the author of the bogus dossier, former British spy Christopher Steele.

In the recently-released FISA memo, House Republicans insisted that the dossier was instrumental in the FBI securing a surveillance warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to spy on one-time Trump campaign member Carter Page, who at one time was an FBI informant, according to House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes, R-Calif. (Related: BUSTED: Team Trump campaign members most likely surveilled by Obama admin spying on Carter Page.)

In a Monday interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum, Graham said he would like to know how Comey responded when Obama insisted the investigation be done “by the book.” And he questioned whether the former FBI director mentioned that the “source” of information used to justify the FISA court warrant was derived from a “paid operative of the Democratic Party” — the Clinton campaign.

“This is the oddest conversation I can imagine,” Graham said of the Jan. 5, 2017 meeting Rice documented.

For sure. And it’s going to be interesting to find out what Comey — and Obama — really knew about the bogus investigation.
