In comments to reporters prior to a closed Cabinet meeting on Thursday, President Donald J. Trump lavished praise on outgoing economic advisor Gary Cohn, at one point calling him a “globalist.”
“This is Gary Cohn’s last meeting of the Cabinet. He’s been terrific. He may be a globalist, but I still like him,” Trump said at the White House.
“I have a feeling you’ll be back. I don’t know if I can put him in the same position though. He’s not quite as strong on those tariffs as we want, but that’s okay,” he added, as reported by CNBC.
According to speech Nazis Nina Golgowski and Luke O’Brien over at Huffpost, Trump — once again — committed a racist faux pas. Oh, and an act of anti-Semitism.
“The term ‘globalist’ has been used at the White House at least three times this week in reference to an outgoing Jewish Trump administration official, raising some eyebrows because the word is increasingly used in xenophobic and anti-Semitic contexts,” the pair wrote.
Cohn, you see, is Jewish. So, despite the fact that until Donald Trump began using the word “globalist” it had no racial or anti-Semitic connotations whatsoever — not even to ridiculous Left-wing writers at HuffPost — now it does. (Related: Florida stands up for the First Amendment by eliminating college “free speech” zones that limit speaking to pre-approved locations.)
Mind you, the Left has always loved the word globalist. They haven’t always loved free speech but they do love the word ‘globalist.’ That’s because they love globalism. They, and some of their globalist, non-Jewish and Jewish Republican friends, love globalist constructs like the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal; NAFTA; the Paris Climate Accords; NATO; and any other agreements, alliances, and arrangements that transfer wealth, power, and influence out of the United States, to be redistributed to lesser powers around the world.
That’s not Trump. And that’s a yuuuge reason why Trump is currently sitting in the Oval Office and Hillary Clinton has been reduced to writing pathetic books blaming everyone else for her election loss.
In fact, it’s not just Trump who is tiring of globalism. Rising numbers of Europeans are also growing weary of the construct, as evidenced by growing nationalist sentiment in response to several countries’ massive importation of troubled, poor, and — in some cases dangerous — migrants from the war-torn Middle East. They, like the tens of millions of Americans who voted for the president, are sick of elitist leaders who govern to the benefit of multinational corporations and groups rather than ‘sticking up’ for the average citizen.
But growing tired of globalism isn’t “racist” or “anti-Semitic. It’s a condition.
Trump also said that Cohn has “been terrific.” Is terrific some sort of anti-Semitic code word too?
Trump also said that Cohn was, “in his own way…also a nationalist” — what are we to make of that?
He may be Jewish, but he’s also white. So, is he a “white nationalist,” which, if true, would make him the racist and bigot…right?
If you’re having trouble keeping up, don’t sweat it. It’s because you don’t think like an Alt-Left #NeverTrumper whose hatred for the man runs so deep and is so strong that their minds no longer function in a rational manner.
Globalist can’t be racist or anti-Semitic because it’s a concept, an ideology, a construct — not a sentiment. It’s not something that people feel about other people, it’s something they observe.
What’s more, globalists come in all skin tones and ethnicities. There are American, European, Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, and African globalists. Not all of them are racists, though some no doubt are. Heck, they may even be Jewish.
The Huffpost article ought to prove once and for all that these Alt-Left mental cases wake up each and every morning thinking of new ways they can label Trump something heinous. What’s really sad is that more than a few folks on Twitter claimed to be just as triggered by a word half of them can’t even define.
