NBC News proves yet again why the fake news media is the true ENEMY of the People
By JD Heyes // Oct 31, 2018

The Leftist “establishment” media has met its match in POTUS Donald Trump.

Not only has the billionaire real estate mogul-turned-president managed to defy all conventional wisdom when it comes to how American politicians and particularly Republicans interact with the media, but he has also managed to outsmart, outthink, and outmaneuver them at every turn.

Most importantly, POTUS Trump has called the establishment media out for their rank dishonesty and hypocrisy since taking office, even going so far as to label them ‘enemies of the people.’ And to their discredit, the establishment media continually prove him right.

Last month when Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee used a scorched-earth political gambit to not only derail Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination but also to smear him personally and professionally using the oldest trick in their playbook – sexual assault allegations – NBC News interviewed one of his accusers, Julie Swetnick.

She and her shyster lawyer, Michael Avenatti, claimed that Kavanaugh, as a high-schooler, was involved in spiking the punch at parties with drugs so girls could be taken to rooms and gang-raped by boys. These “rape trains,” as they were referred to, happened often and Kavanaugh, we were told, was a central figure.

Like those of other women who accused Kavanaugh – without corroboration or evidence – of sexual assault (despite being cleared six times by the FBI throughout the course of his career and actually working in the White House at one point), Swetnick’s accusations would soon begin to fall apart.

But not before NBC News did its level-best to help allied Democrats with their smear campaign.

As Breitbart NewsJohn Nolte reports, the network and Avenatti were a huge part of the hell that Kavanaugh and his family were put through for three weeks in September as one allegation after sordid allegation of the most heinous nature was leveled against him.

Swetnick’s allegations fell apart even more quickly than did those of Kavanaugh’s initial accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. But not before NBC “breathlessly” published the allegations leveled by Avenatti and Swetnick without even performing the journalistic due diligence of confirming them through other sources. (Related: Senate refers porn lawyer Michael Avenatti and his client Julie Swetnick to DOJ for investigation over possibly lying to Congress over Kavanaugh allegations.)

Democratic sycophants at NBC

“A Democrat handed NBC the smear, and NBC ran with it,” Nolte reported.

He adds:

To make matters worse, we now know NBC News withheld crucial information that undermined the allegations made by Swetnick, the Avenatti client who accused a high school-aged Kavanaugh of spiking punch bowls at house parties so he and his buddies could engage in serial rapes.

And we know NBC deliberately withheld this crucial information because NBC is now admitting it had this information all the way back on September 30.

Which was well before Kavanaugh’s eventual confirmation vote.

The September 30 date is important because it was during the most intense period of Kavanaugh’s confirmation battle. His eventual ascension to the Supreme Court was not at all certain at that point.

Around that time, Avenatti tweeted out a sworn statement from an anonymous woman who allegedly corroborated Swetnick’s rape train claims. In her statement, she supposedly swore to having also witnessed Kavanaugh spike punch bowls so he and others could take advantage of drugged girls.

Little did anyone know but on Sept. 30, NBC interviewed the anonymous witness and she recanted her statement.

But the network did not acknowledge the recantation until well after the Kavanaugh circus, in an Oct. 25 report.

“Referring to Kavanaugh spiking the punch, ‘I didn’t ever think it was Brett,’ the woman said to reporters in a phone interview arranged by Avenatti on Sept. 30 after repeated requests to speak with other witnesses who might corroborate Swetnick’s claims,” the network reported.

She also denied she ever saw Kavanaugh behave inappropriately around girls. Then, when the network spoke to her again on Oct. 3, she essentially accused Avenatti of taking her words out of context.

Had NBC published this information right away like a responsible media organization would, the network’s Democratic sycophants decided to sit on it instead, hoping that Kavanaugh’s nomination would tank.

Only an enemy of the people would do something like that.
