INVESTIGATION: Planned Parenthood staffers aid and abet child sexual abuse and trafficking of minors
By Mary Villareal // May 03, 2022

An investigation found that abortion giant Planned Parenthood does not disclose suspected child sex trafficking to authorities and does not even follow through on promises to train staff members in reporting instances of such abuse.

This has been going on for years. In 2011, an investigation gathered evidence of eight Planned Parenthood staffers in seven clinics who appeared to be willing to aid and abet the trafficking of minors. Posing as child sex traffickers, Live Action investigators visited facilities in several states, inquiring about obtaining abortions, contraception and STI tests for underage girls.

The investigation showed footage of employees assisting "traffickers" by outlining the best ways to get abortions and birth control for 14- and 15-year-old victims. The staffers said the clinics would always ignore parental consent laws and perform abortions for underage girls involved in sex work. They also explained illegal methods of obtaining from clinics both birth control and abortions for minors without health insurance. After this was uncovered, the organization told the media that it would train all clinic workers to detect and disclose suspected sexual abuse of minors. In a letter to then-Attorney General Eric Holder, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards claimed that her group looked into the trafficking claims and reported them to relevant law enforcement authorities.

Planned Parenthood on sexual assault, abuse and rape

According to the Planned Parenthood website, individuals who don't consent to sex or are forced to do something that may be considered unwanted sexual contact have the right to decide what will happen to their own bodies.

While the website focuses on preventing assault, abuse or rape and explaining what can be done following the event, they did not have anything on their main website about helping assaulted victims. Instead, they put it in the individual to "get help from an expert" by sending them to the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network, which is said to offer 24/7 support.

They also put it as the victim's responsibility to decide if they want to talk to the police – saying that it is their choice to do so, essentially letting the abusers free.

In a recent study, it was found through interviews with former employees that Planned Parenthood has an unsettling trend of ushering young girls through exploitation in multiple stages, beginning with its sex education program.

Undercover investigators posing as girls as young as 15 secretly recorded conversations in clinics where they were taught, along with their "boyfriends," about bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism (BDSM) relationships.

In each of these clinics, employees told the girls that any kind of sexual activity was perfectly acceptable as long as they consented, and never asked questions, such as how old their boyfriends are. The employees also did not ask for details of their relationship or gave advice on how to avoid pregnancy in the first place. (Related: Planned Parenthood teaches teens to engage in 'asphyxiation' sex and other sadistic behaviors.)

This plays right into the grooming process of sexual abusers, particularly in relation to desensitizing touch and abuse in which an offender can condition victims to think the kind of touch they are receiving is normal and acceptable.

Another Live Action investigation depicted undercover investigators posing as girls ages 13 to 15 entering Planned Parenthood locations seeking to hide their relationships with older men from their parents, and in every undercover operation, the employees reassured the girls that they will not be reported to their parents.

They also coached them on how to obtain judicial bypass to get abortions and offered advice on which procedures will be best in concealing such to parents, including lying or traveling to a different state with no parental consent laws.

While Planned Parenthood claims that reporting suspected sex trafficking is a priority, the fact that many clinic workers are willing to overlook or even go as far as facilitating ongoing abuse of minors suggests that the organization is more concerned with its image that the well-being of its clients.
