During her Jan. 5 appearance on the Brighteon.TV program "America Unhinged," she explained to theologian and program host Dr. John Diamond how the neutral yet deceptive curriculum in the education system – especially in public schools – is taking the youth down the wrong path.
"It is important for people to understand that there was an intentional effort to change how our country was run to take us away from being the freest country in the world and they used education as a political tool to accomplish that," she pointed out.
According to Woodruff, education is formative of the individual in forming Christian character, self-government and conscience to sustain the nation's liberty. Thus, America's youth needs to understand history so they'll know where the nation should go and what should be done moving forward.
"It is essential that our education is putting the Bible as the foundation of all learning and that our children are understanding the sovereignty of God and all of human life. That is going to allow our young people to choose the right kind of people to put in office, who are going to protect God's laws, who are going to honor life and who are going to do the right things," said Woodruff, whose interests include furthering the restoration of American Christian education.
"We are teaching the principles of liberty, the Christian history of the Constitution and renewing the mind for teaching and learning. We also work with pastors to encourage them to use principle approach education and eliminates a lot of the confusion on making decisions based more on emotion instead of the biblical truth."
Diamond agreed with his guest, saying: "There's nothing in a public school about science, about history that is real. It's all fables and lies, especially to create good little communists and good little atheists. A guest said the other day on the show, 'public education is the devil's youth group.'" Woodruff lamented that even some Christian schools are falling prey to progressive methods of education, with some teachers emerging out of college with these methods that do not produce biblical reasoning. Despite this, she expressed optimism about FACE's recent efforts.
"We've got about 42 schools that are opening in the next year and a half that we have been working with over the last two years to get established. And our vision is for teaching centers, not just K-12 schools because we do recognize that we need to be teaching the whole community."
Dr. Calvin Beisner, founder of the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation (CASC), also joined Diamond on the program. According to its website, CASC is "a network of evangelical Christian scholars … dedicated to educating the public and policymakers about Biblical earth stewardship."
"Education has become a business, a racket where you pay $50,000 a year," said Beisner, agreeing with the theologian's remarks about the topic of education being a money-making venture. "It would be easy to sit down and record what a teacher is saying, have the book on a PDF and upload it – and that's almost like free education."
"What we need is parents to be taking full responsibility for the primary direction of their children's education, whether that's homeschooling or schooling, through your private Christian school or whatever. Then, we need to join hands with people who bring expertise in various different subjects that the parents themselves don't have."
Diamond agreed with Beisner on the issue of education being parents' primary responsibility. While this can be outsourced, it is not without risks, the "America Unhinged" host continued.
"You better be very sure who you're outsourcing that, too, because we're outsourcing our education to basically the devil's youth group at this point. So we need to rethink the education system."
