The congresswoman for the Peach State recounted her move to lay down articles of impeachment in an interview with the Post Millennial. Greene said she "solemnly and soberly" decided to "use the powers that the founders provided and issue a check against what the Biden administration thinks are unfettered powers." She added: "It's something I don't take lightly."
"These men knew that with unchecked power, any branch of government could lose sight of the job they were hired to do and become beholden solely to the power they wield. This is what has happened in America today. Power corrupts."
According to Greene, the chief executive ought to be impeached for deliberately compromising national security by refusing to enforce immigration laws and secure our border. Biden had also "allowed approximately six million illegals from over 170 countries to invade our country," most of them positive for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).
She also noted that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas "aided and abetted the complete invasion of our country by deliberately flooding our nation with drugs, terrorism and illegal aliens." Greene also pointed out that the secretary "intentionally diverted resources away from our borders, stopped construction of the border wall, and broke existing laws by allowing mass parole for illegal aliens." Mayorkas also ended the "Remain in Mexico" policy put in place by former President Donald Trump to address the wave of illegal immigrants. Greene also noted how in place of this, Biden reinstated "catastrophic and disastrous catch-and-release policies" toward illegals.
Aside from Biden and Mayorkas, Greene also submitted articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray.
She accused Wray of turning the FBI "into the personal police force" of both Biden and Garland. "It is wholly unacceptable for the FBI director or any civil officer to use their power in a way that targets one political class and favors another," the congresswoman emphasized.
According to Greene, Wray has used "Soviet-style tactics" in his fascist targeting of average Americans. She recounted how he "sent armed agents" to Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022, something the member of Congress dubbed "a politically motivated raid to influence an upcoming election." Moreover, she also referenced how Wray's agency is protecting Hunter Biden from a criminal probe following the discovery of his illicit activities via the so-called "laptop from hell."
Meanwhile, the Georgia congresswoman accused Garland of "weaponizing the DOJ [into the] Department of Injustice." She mentioned that the former federal judge and Supreme Court nominee refused to act on terrorism done by Antifa and Black Lives Matter. These groups, Greene added, have caused "billions of dollars in property damage and taken lives."
Greene wrapped up her interview by drawing a comparison between government officials and private sector employees.
"Employees are fired when they are corrupt, aren't adequately serving their employer or purposely destroying a company. In this case, the employer is the American people because they pay the salaries … of everyone in the federal government," she said.
"The Constitution outlines a very simple process to fire the corrupt officials serving in the federal government – impeachment. Wray, Garland, Mayorkas and Biden are all corrupt and unfit to hold office, and they all must be impeached."
