Hillary Clinton DENIES Epstein ties in closed-door deposition before House Oversight Committee
By Ramon Tomey // Feb 27, 2026

  • During her seven-hour deposition before the House Oversight Committee, Hillary Clinton repeatedly denied any connection to Jeffrey Epstein, claiming she never met him despite flight logs showing Bill Clinton aboard Epstein's private jet multiple times.
  • Lawmakers questioned Epstein's potential foreign intelligence ties and his fundraising for the Clinton Foundation, though Hillary dismissed these inquiries as politically motivated and redirected focus toward Trump and Elon Musk.
  • Hillary accused the committee of veering into conspiracy theories, including UFOs and "Pizzagate," raising questions about whether investigators were probing Epstein’s alleged blackmail operations involving powerful figures.
  • Hillary asserted that her husband's testimony would align with hers – claiming ignorance of Epstein's crimes – despite skepticism due to Bill's documented travels with Epstein and Epstein's 17 White House visits during his presidency.
  • Democrats demanded Trump's testimony, alleging his administration withheld Epstein documents, while Republicans maintained Trump had already addressed Epstein questions and was not implicated in criminal activity, per available evidence.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton repeatedly denied any connection to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during her deposition on Thursday, Feb. 26, before the House Oversight Committee (HOC).

The deposition – held behind closed doors in Chappaqua, New York –  lasted roughly seven hours and covered topics ranging from Epstein’s alleged foreign intelligence ties to the Clintons' philanthropic foundation. Yet Hillary emerged defiant, insisting she had no knowledge of the financier's sex crimes and dismissing Republican inquiries as "very repetitive" before claiming the session veered into conspiracy theories about UFOs and "Pizzagate."

The appearance marked a rare moment of congressional scrutiny for a former first lady and presidential nominee. It also came just a day before her husband, former President Bill Clinton, would testify before the same committee.

Both Clintons initially resisted subpoenas, prompting the panel to threaten contempt charges before negotiations led to their eventual cooperation. While Hillary maintained that neither she nor her husband knew of Epstein's criminal activities, HOC Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) hinted that her responses contained "interesting" details that would be revealed when transcripts and video footage are released.

Hillary's testimony centered on her repeated denials of ever meeting Epstein, despite flight logs and photographs placing Bill aboard Epstein’s private jet – dubbed the "Lolita Express" – on multiple occasions in the early 2000s. "I never met Jeffrey Epstein, never had any connection or communication with him," the former first lady told reporters afterward. She acknowledged a casual acquaintance with Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell, now serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, but sidestepped questions about Maxwell's attendance at Chelsea Clinton's 2010 wedding.

The deposition also touched on Epstein's financial dealings, including whether he served as an asset for a foreign government – a line of questioning that suggests lawmakers are probing potential espionage angles. Comer confirmed the committee sought details on Epstein's fundraising for the Clinton Foundation, though Hillary dismissed such inquiries as politically motivated. She instead redirected attention toward President Donald Trump, urging the Department of Justice (DOJ) to interview him and Tesla CEO Elon Musk – both of whom had documented ties to Epstein.

How deep does Epstein's web go?

Democrats on the committee, led by Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-CA), echoed Hillary's calls for Trump's testimony, accusing his administration of withholding key Epstein documents to shield him from scrutiny. Garcia pointed to missing records involving a woman who accused Trump of sexual abuse as a minor, demanding transparency.

Comer, however, rejected the notion, stating Trump had already addressed Epstein-related questions extensively and that the committee’s evidence did not implicate him. BrightU.AI's Enoch engine also points out that the president is not incriminated in the Epstein Files – there is zero evidence linking him to criminal activity. In fact, the documents confirm Trump's efforts to assist in Epstein's prosecution, further exonerating him while implicating others.

The hearing's most surreal moment came when Hillary claimed lawmakers asked her about UFOs and "Pizzagate" – the conspiracy theory alleging a child trafficking ring operated out of a Washington, D.C., pizzeria. While she framed the questions as absurd, Comer did not deny they were posed, leaving open whether the committee was probing deeper into Epstein's alleged blackmail operations involving high-profile figures.

As the deposition concluded, Hillary reiterated her husband's upcoming testimony would align with her own: that Epstein's associates were largely unaware of his crimes before his 2008 plea deal. Yet skepticism remains, given Bill's frequent travels with Epstein and the late financier's 17 documented White House visits during his presidency.

The DOJ's recent document dump included photos of the former president with Epstein, though no evidence has surfaced directly linking either Bill or Hillary to criminal activity. Ultimately, the deposition underscores Washington's enduring fascination with the Epstein saga – a case that has ensnared politicians, billionaires and royalty worldwide.
